Doncaster Reserve playspace upgrade
We're upgrading the playspace at Doncaster Reserve.
The upgrade of the playspace at Doncaster Reserve is part of Manningham's Playspace Improvement Program and funding has been allocated in our 2024/25 Capital Works Program. The concept plan suggests the following improvements and upgrades;
- outdoor seating
- drinking fountain
- combination play unit
- swing set
- nature play
- balance walk
- path improvements, and more.
Have your say on the draft concept plan
Our consultation on the draft concept plan closed on Monday 13 November. We're now reviewing all feedback received and finalising the playspace design.
Once the design is complete, we will share it with you here.
Where is it?
Doncaster Reserve playspace is located next to the Doncaster RSL in Doncaster Reserve. The playspace is near the corner of Leeds Street and Doncaster Road.
Why is it needed?
The upgrade of this playspace is part of our Playspace Development Program, which aims to upgrade and replace aging playgrounds throughout Manningham.
When will the works happen?
We expect construction to take around four weeks, commencing in the second half of 2024.
How will the works affect me?
During the construction process, some noise and traffic changes may be necessary. The playground will be closed temporarily, and we encourage the community to visit other playgrounds until the new playspace is completed.
We will make every effort to minimise any disruption to residents and visitors.
