Construction is starting at the playspace at Doncaster Reserve.
Work will begin in early November and is expected to take six weeks to complete.
The playspace will be closed while works are underway.
Construction will generally occur between 7.00am and 5.00pm on weekdays. There might be some noise and temporary changes to traffic around the reserve during this time.
The playspace is expected to open in mid-December.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the playspace once the construction is complete at Doncaster Reserve.
If you have any questions about the works, contact us on 9840 9333 or manningham@manningham.vic.gov.au.

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the proposed upgrade. With the design finalised, we're now preparing for the upgrade to begin in late 2024.
Here's how your feedback influenced the design.
A combination play unit for various ages
We heard you! We've selected a new combination play unit with everything you requested, including tunnels, nets, higher slides, and monkey bars of various heights.
Switching the balance circuit for a cubby
We received mixed opinions on the balance circuit. So, we've substituted the original balance circuit for a cubby for under fives, which several people requested. We've then incorporated the balance circuit within the main combination play unit.
Fencing and gates
You unanimously supported the childproof fencing and gates - they will be included in the upgrade.
More seating and shade
It was clear that additional shade and seating is a community priority. This upgrade will include several new seating options, and we will plant a semi-mature canopy shade tree near the central seating area to provide natural shade.
Rock and log steppers
We received varying opinions on the proposed rock and log steppers. So, we've replaced them with smooth sandstone or mudstone rocks, which can be used as low playground edging or as a seating wall.
