We're expanding Walker Reserve and getting it ready for an upgrade.

What’s happening?

Walker Reserve expansion

To create more open space for the community we’re expanding Walker Reserve. We’ve acquired two properties at 34 and 36 Clay Drive, Doncaster and demolition of the dwellings and out buildings is scheduled for mid-September 2025.

Walker Reserve upgrade

We’re planning to make improvements to Walker Reserve for the community to enjoy. Later this year we’ll invite you to have your say on proposed improvements to:

  • paths and access
  • play equipment
  • drink fountains and seating
  • landscaping and trees.

Where is it?

Walker Reserve is located at 27 Walker Street, Doncaster.

Why is it needed?

Expanding Walker Reserve aligns with the Manningham Open Space Strategy, helping us create more accessible and enjoyable public spaces for everyone. The reserve upgrade will make sure the space continues to meet the needs of our community now and into the future.

When is it happening?

Demolition works at 34 and 36 Clay Drive in Doncaster is scheduled for mid-September 2025. Community consultation on the upgrade to Walker Reserve will occur in late 2025.

During the demolition works on Clay Drive you may notice construction noise, dust and minor traffic disruptions. We’ll have signage on site and traffic management in place at times.

Opportunities to have your say

We’ll be inviting feedback on a draft concept plan for the reserve expansion and upgrade later this year.
