What’s happening?
We're upgrading Walker Reserve in Doncaster.
Walker Reserve expansion
To create more open space for the community we’re expanding Walker Reserve. We’ve acquired two properties at 34 and 36 Clay Drive, Doncaster and demolition of the dwellings and out buildings is scheduled for mid-September 2025.
Demolition works are now complete.
Walker Reserve upgrade
We’re planning to make improvements to Walker Reserve for the community to enjoy.
Proposed improvements include:
a new concrete path linking Walker Street, Clay Drive and Arthur Street
a new playspace and nature play area
drinking fountain
new seating and picnic tables
more trees for shade and greenery.
Have your say
Tell us what you think by completing our short survey between Monday 1 December and Wednesday 17 December 2025.
Expanding Walker Reserve aligns with the Manningham Open Space Strategy, helping us create more accessible and enjoyable public spaces for everyone. The reserve upgrade will make sure the space continues to meet the needs of our community now and into the future.
When is it happening?
Demolition works are now complete.
Community consultation on the concept plan will open on Monday 1 December and close on Wednesday 17 December.
Construction is expected to start in March 2026 and will take around 2 months. The reserve will be closed during works.
