What’s happening?
We're planning a new bike pump track at Morris Williams Reserve in Bulleen.
The bike pump track will be Manningham's first and provide a dedicated space for riders of all ages and abilities to develop their skills and enjoy active recreation.
Thanks to community support through the Pick My Park program, Victorian Government funding has been secured to enhance the bike pump track project and help deliver an even better experience for the community.
To support growing use of the reserve, a new public toilet will also be built.
When is it happening?
Planning for the bike pump track is underway.
Community consultation on the concept design is expected to open in early 2027.

What is a pump track?
A bike pump track is a looped track made up of small hills, bumps and banked turns that riders use to build momentum by moving their body up and down, rather than pedalling constantly.
Pump tracks are designed for riders of different ages, abilities and experience levels. They can be used by people riding BMX bikes, mountain bikes, scooters, skateboards and rollerblades.
They provide a fun, safe and inclusive space to build confidence, develop riding skills and enjoy being active outdoors.
Where will it be located?
The pump track will be located in Morris Williams Reserve (formerly Yarraleen/Morris Williams Reserve), Bulleen. View on map.
The reserve is approximately 3.5 hectares and includes exercise equipment, a multipurpose court, walking paths, a shaded playspace and future toilet facilities. The site is easily accessible and well connected to surrounding neighbourhoods.
The pump track will be located next to the Yarraleen Preschool at the end of Rocklea Road.
How it might affect you
We'll provide more information about construction timing and any impacts closer to the start of works.
The reserve is expected to remain open during construction, however some areas may be temporarily closed or fenced off to ensure community safety.
Construction of the bike pump track is expected to start later in 2027.
