Why is it needed?

The last major upgrade at Burgundy Reserve was over 20 years ago and the current play equipment has reached the end of its useful life. This project presents a valuable opportunity to refresh the playspace and surrounding reserve. The upgrade is part of our Parks Improvement Program and will be delivered under our capital works program.

When is it happening?

Phase one of construction will begin in mid-October and take approximately 6 weeks to complete. These works include:

  • Installation of a new concrete perimeter path, including a new shared path along the southern side of Burgundy Reserve connecting Burgundy Drive to Cellar Way.
  • Installation of new seating around the reserve.
  • Preliminary works for the new toilet.

We’ve planned to start construction on phase 2 of the upgrade in early 2026. This phase will include a new playground, shelter, picnic area, toilet, fencing, lighting and planting.
