In conjunction with the playspace upgrade we’re also expanding Beverley Reserve to create even more open space for the community. We’ve acquired a property next to the reserve at 34 Talford Street in Doncaster East. Site clearing is scheduled for late July 2025 as part of our efforts to grow and improve the park for the community to enjoy.
Where is it?
Beverley Reserve is located at 115-117 Beverley Street in Doncaster East.
Why is it needed?
We’re upgrading this playspace due to its age and condition, making sure it continues to meet the needs of our community now and into the future. The upgrade is part of our Parks Improvement Program and will be delivered through the 2025/26 Open Space Capital Works Program.
Expanding the reserve aligns with the Manningham Open Space Strategy, helping us create more accessible and enjoyable public spaces for everyone.
When is it happening?
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the concept plan during June and July 2025. Once we’ve finalised the design for the upgrade, we’ll provide more information about the timing of construction.
We plan to begin demolition of 34 Talford Street in late July 2025 with works expected to take approximately two weeks.
How it might affect you
Beverley Reserve will be closed at times during the demolition and construction of the new playspace. We recommend using Maggs Reserve in Doncaster East (250 metres away) or Aintree Reserve in Donvale (450 metres away). There may be occasional impacts on surrounding neighbours including noise, construction traffic and decreased street parking. We will do our best to minimise these impacts where possible.
