Welcome back to Tunstall Square Kindergarten
Our educators at Tunstall Square Kindergarten are thrilled to welcome families back to the new-look building in term two!
The $1.4 million project to expand the kindergarten was completed in April 2024, bringing with it a range of new features and improvements.
The new space includes a second kindergarten room, which will accommodate an additional 52 enrolments, as well as an accessible ramp and upgraded external entrance for universal access. Children can also enjoy new playspace and landscaping features, including a new multi-use synthetic grass play zone with a soft fall rubber undersurface, water pump, and creek water play area.
Improvements at the entry into the neighbouring Maternal and Child Health Centre.
Environmentally sustainable design was a key consideration for the upgrade which incorporates solar PV systems, energy efficiency, passive design features, and eco-friendly, sustainable material specifications.
The project was delivered in partnership with the Victorian State Government, which funded $744,700 of the project.
A second stage of improvement works will involve upgrading the pedestrian path link from Russell Crescent into St. Clems Reserve, with the project expected to take between three to six months.
