  Road construction on Anderson Street is set to begin on Monday 30 June and continue until mid to late 2026.

  Temporary road closure

  For the first 4 to 6 weeks of construction, Anderson Street (James Street to Wood Street) will be fully closed, with traffic diverted along Wood, Milne, James streets.

  • View the detour maps for normal vehicles, heavy vehicles and buses.

  Temporary bus detours

  From 30 June to 27 July 2025, bus routes 280, 282, and 905 will be detoured in both directions.

  Temporary bus stop closures:

  • Porter Street/Williamsons Road
  • Anderson Street/Atkinson Street
  • Williamsons Road/Porter Street
  • Williamsons Road/Atkinson Street

  Operating bus stops near Templestowe Village:

  • Templestowe Village/James Street bus stops - open in both directions.

  The Department of Transport and Planning determined this as the only safe option.
  After Stage 1 works are complete, buses will go back to normal.
