Our backyard is blessed with natural beauty. However, our parks, plants, waterways and wildlife are facing growing challenges.
That’s why we’re developing a Nature Plan to protect and enhance Manningham’s natural environment over the next 15 years.
Building on our environmental efforts, we're developing this plan to address challenges such as habitat loss through urbanisation and climate change, local biodiversity decline and reduced waterway health through increased stormwater runoff.

About the community workshop
This workshop offers residents a chance to explore the key issues and priorities for preserving our natural environment.
Participants’ insights will directly inform the recommendations in the Nature Plan’s Action Plan.

Location: Manningham Civic Centre
Number of participants: 20-30 Manningham residents
Incentive: $50 voucher to a local business as a thank you for your time and contribution

Manningham Nature Plan: Protecting our future is currently at this stage
Mid January to early February 2025. Pop-up stalls at Ruffey Lake Park, Warrandyte Riverside Market, 100 Acres Reserve, East Doncaster Secondary College and Whitefriars College.
Phase 2: online survey opens
this is an upcoming stage for Manningham Nature Plan: Protecting our future
Early February until early March 2025. This phase – a Polis survey – asks stakeholders to share their ideas on preserving and enhancing nature in Manningham.
Phase 3: one-day workshop occurs
this is an upcoming stage for Manningham Nature Plan: Protecting our future
5 April 2025. A workshop with approximately 25 community members (selected via an expression of interest (EOI).
