Will any of the existing play equipment be retained?

    No play equipment will be retained on site due to their conditions. Some of them will be donated to Rotary for The Rotary Overseas Relocated Playgrounds (RORP) program to enable children in underdeveloped countries and the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to play and enjoy. 

    Will a public toilet be included as part of the upgrade?

    Larnoo Playground does not meet the criteria for the provision of a public toilet.

    Will a barbecue be included as part of the upgrade?

    Larnoo Playground does not meet the criteria for the provision of a barbecue.

    Barbecues within Manningham are generally located within regional and district open spaces, as designated in the Manningham Open Space Strategy 2014.

    No funding has been provided for a barbecue as part of this upgrade. 

    When will the proposed upgrade take place?

    The final design is expected to ready by May 2025. Construction is expected to begin in August 2024 and will take approximately two months to complete.

    This schedule is subject to weather and contractor availability. 

    What is not included in the upgrade?

    Shelter, BBQ area, drinking fountain and toilet are not part of this upgrade.
