The Jumping Creek Road Upgrade will address safety concerns for all road users. As well as improving road safety, the project will provide increased vegetation, a recreational trail for walkers and cyclists, wildlife protection measures, improved road usability and an upgrade to the township intersection and streetscape.

Jumping Creek Road is accessible to emergency services at all stages during construction, with the following safety protocols in place:

  • Contractors stop work when temperatures reach 35°C.
  • The road is made safe at the end of each work shift to accommodate emergency vehicle access and resident evacuation, if required.
  • In an emergency, the road will be opened in line with recommendations from emergency services.
  • We continue to liaise with emergency services to ensure they are aware of these works
