Reopening of Jumping Creek Road

Works on Jumping Creek Road between the IGA and Homestead Road are almost complete. Traffic conditions will change as we reopen the road and continue intersection works.

Jumping Creek Road will reopen in stages from Sunday 13 September 2026, while work on the intersection continues. Key dates are indicated below.

Please plan ahead for your travel and expect delays. Bus services on Toppings Road will continue on the current detour route.

Sunday 13 September 2026

  • Jumping Creek Road will reopen in both directions between 10 am Sunday and 5 am Monday.
  • You’ll need an access pass to enter your property between 5 am and 10 am.
  • Traffic management crews will remain in place.
  • Please plan ahead for your travel and expect delays.

Wednesday 16 September to Thursday 17 September 2026

  • Asphalting works will take place between Homestead Road and the IGA at night from 7 pm to 5 am.
  • Jumping Creek Road is closed during this period.

Friday 18 September until Monday 5 October 2026 (September school holidays)

  • Jumping Creek Road will be open in both directions and traffic management crews will be in place.
  • Traffic restrictions on surrounding roads will be lifted.
  • You won’t be able to access the Jumping Creek Road intersection from Dudley Road.
  • Access to Dudley Road and the Wonga Park Primary School is available via Davis Road and Paynters Road.
  • The Dudley Road and Jumping Creek Road intersection will be closed.
  • Yarra Road remains accessible.

From October 2026

  • Access via Dudley Road from Jumping Creek Road will be available under traffic management, please expect delays.
  • More updates will be shared about the Yarra Road intersection works, including closure times and duration.

The next stage of the project will focus on road upgrades at the Jumping Creek Road and Dudley Road intersection. Traffic management will be in place to guide road users through the area safely, and we will provide further information before works begin.
