Fitzsimons Reserve Upgrade – Consultation summary
Thank you to everyone who shared feedback on the Fitzsimons Reserve upgrade project during our December 2025 consultation.
What we heard
- 66 responses received
- 62% (40 people) visit the reserve at least once a week
- 58% ride to the park
- Skill level of riders was 56% advanced, 24% intermediate and 8% beginner
Top features you’d like to see at Fitzsimons Reserve
- Berms, table tops and jumps the highest rated features for mountain biking trails
- Drinking fountain and better toilets (in Westerfolds Park - Parks Victoria)
- Link to and upgrade existing mountain biking trails in Candlebark Park - Parks Victoria
- Lighting in car park and along canoe slalom course
What’s next?
We’ll finalise the concept plan and design for the mountain bike flow trails based on your feedback.
