Thanks for your feedback, here's what you told us.
We recently surveyed the community on the proposed design for a new playspace, seeking community feedback to help us understand who is likely to use the space, what would encourage them to do so, and any suggestions for improvement to the design.
We received 10 responses in total from five contributors, with most supporting the new playspace. Three of the four responses that did not support the playspace came from the same contributor.
In response to the feedback, we have incorporated requests for additional seating, planting, and trees into the design to maximise opportunities for seated supervision and socialising. However, we cannot include the requests for additional facilities such as a fence at the front of the park, community garden beds, bins, a shade sail/shelter, BBQ, flying fox, or trampoline, as they are outside the project’s budget and scope.
The only concerns we received were around including and maintaining a picnic table and the decreased open space for casual sports. However, our Parks Improvement Program and Open Space Strategy 2014 direct the inclusion of these items in our open spaces.
