Why are we consulting?

We take great care to treat design and planning in Warrandyte with respect to the area’s heritage and character and strive to balance this with our responsibility to provide safe, accessible and environmentally friendly infrastructure.

We also recognise the importance of understanding and considering the real-life experiences of the individuals these projects aim to benefit. We want to provide meaningful engagement opportunities that allow us to hear directly from Warrandyte and Wonga Park residents.

We believe that early and transparent consultation is key to ensuring that we design projects that meet the community's needs and expectations. Whenever possible, we will consult on projects in their early stages, outlining the project drivers and presenting initial designs so that your feedback can guide the design process and help us ensure the best outcomes for the community.

Designing projects that protect the green wedge

When planning construction or upgrades in Warrandyte or Wonga Park, we are also guided by the Manningham Green Wedge Infrastructure Design Guide. The guide ensures that project designs are sensitive, site-responsive and visually compatible with the environment.
