Why is it needed?

We’re upgrading this dog park due to its age and condition. Our goal is to make sure the dog park meets the needs of the community both now and for years to come.

Community feedback has highlighted several needs, including:

  • dedicated separate access into the quiet dog area to support less social dogs
  • seating and shade in the main dog area to improve comfort
  • upgraded agility equipment to better accommodate increased use
  • lighting along the path between Aranga Crescent and Eastway Avenue to improve connectivity and safety.

This project is part of our Parks Improvement Program and will be delivered under our 2025/26 Capital Works Program.

The Aranga Reserve dog park upgrade is supported by the Victorian Government through the New and Upgraded Dog Park program (Round 2).

When is it happening?

The upgraded dog park at Aranga Reserve is now complete.

How will it affect me?

The dog activity park and reserve will remain open during construction, with some areas fenced off for safety during works.
