FAQs
What’s Tunstall Square Pop-up Park?
Tunstall Square Pop-up Park is an outdoor community space created in the public space near the Beverley Street entrance to Tunstall Square. This was initially created during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.
The Pop-up Park supported the community and businesses during the lockdown by providing an attractive outdoor space that the community can enjoy safely, and continues to be popular with locals who visit Tunstall Square.
Will this Pop-up Park be permanent?
Council evaluated the temporary popup park by QR code survey in 2021. The results showed a strong community wish for it to stay. Responding to this, we will keep the Pop-up Park as a more permanent feature while making some upgrades to make it more fun and inviting.
How is this project funded?
This project has been funded by a COVID safe outdoor activation grant from the Department of Jobs, Regions and Precincts to support the local business and community.
