Why is it needed?
Tullamore Estate brings together homes, parks, walking trails, a cafe and a gym. With so many people moving through the area, keeping our streets safe is essential.
A 40 km/h speed limit will help create a safer environment for everyone driving, walking and cycling in the estate.
Unlike other residential streets, Tullamore Estate has narrow street layouts, defined access points and sensitive land uses that make it a clear candidate for a 40 km/h speed limit zone.
This proposal is also guided by Action 2.1.3 of our Road Safety Strategy and Action Plan 2025 - 2034, which outlines our commitment to conducting speed reviews across Manningham to enhance community safety.
