Works are due to start late-March and are anticipated to take about 5 weeks to complete. The playground will be closed but the path through the reserve will remain open. There is a minor change to the final design with the length of the dry creek bed reduced.

We’re planning some improvements for Thea Reserve in Doncaster East and we want to hear from you.
Through our Playspace Development program, this site has been identified for renewal due to its age, condition and use. We’re replacing and upgrading our play equipment to ensure it is safe, contemporary and meets the changing needs of the local community.
We’re also considering new nature play features where ever possible to encourage exploration and creative play.
Proposed improvements include:
New multi play ‘Tree House’ unit
New triple swings with basket swing
Fairy Garden ring of rocks and logs
Archway with climbing plants
New seats and picnic table
New drinking fountain with dog bowl
New and renewed concrete paths
New trees, plants & landscaping
Construction works are scheduled to begin in March, weather permitting.
Let us know your feedback by completing our feedback form by Wednesday 5 February.
