Focus group summary report

Thank you to our focus group participants for sharing their ideas and helping to prioritise key opportunities for the Templestowe Village streetscape upgrade.

Your feedback is helping us shape a streetscape that better reflects the needs of local business owners, residents and visitors.

To inform the development of the draft Templestowe Village Streetscape Concept Plan, we developed a staged community engagement process.

• Phase 1: Community survey ‘What is your vision for Templestowe Village?’ to scope ideas concluded in November 2025. The findings of this survey can be reviewed here.
• Phase 2: In-person sessions with a dedicated focus group to help inform the development of the draft Templestowe Village Streetscape concept plan concluded in March 2026.

The purpose of the focus group sessions was to consider community feedback from Phase 1 engagement and to delve deeper into the challenges and opportunities for the Templestowe Village streetscape.

We saw enthusiastic participation from the group and have received positive feedback on the approach used to explore the community’s vision for the Village.

The feedback from Phase 1 and Phase 2 is being reviewed and we are preparing the draft concept plan for the Templestowe Village Streetscape Upgrade. This will be publicly exhibited later this year.
