Road Management Plan 2025
We’re reviewing our Road Management Plan (RMP) to improve how we manage road maintenance requests, inspections and repairs.
Manningham’s RMP outlines how we manage the maintenance of local roads, including our responsibilities, maintenance standards and inspection processes.
It does not include road safety issues or the maintenance of trees, vegetation, nature strips or private assets, such as vehicle crossings.
We’re required to review our RMP every four years to ensure it remains current with evolving standards, legislation and community needs. This review will determine our plan for 2025 to 2029.
Proposed changes to the Road Management Plan
The draft RMP includes clear, concise language and a streamlined format, consistent with the latest industry standard template from the Municipal Association of Victoria.
These standards align with current best practice and legal advice and support Victorian Councils to meet statutory obligations and collectively build a safer road network in Victoria.
The changes also aim to make it easier for community to understand road maintenance standards and what they can expect from our services.
