We're naming the unnamed laneway between Robert and Helene Streets in Bulleen. This is to provide addresses for two new properties resulting from the subdivision of land at 48 Templestowe Road, Bulleen.

We propose to name the laneway ‘Kiln Lane’, in recognition of the area’s brickmaking past – previously home to the Bulleen Brickworks, located nearby on Templestowe Road. Established by Glen Iris Bricks in the 1950s, the brickworks was taken over by Boral Bricks in 1970 before closing down in the late 1900s.

The name ‘Kiln Lane’ complies with Victoria's naming rules for places.

Have your say

We’re seeking community feedback to support, object or comment on the proposed name.

Complete our Feedback Form by 5.00pm on Friday 7 June 2024.

All submissions will be considered before we progress the naming process and formally lodge the proposed road name with Geographic Names Victoria.

We will share the consultation outcomes with you via this project page.
