Have your say on the proposed name - Brickmakers Lane

After receiving valuable community feedback during our recent consultation on the proposed name 'Kiln Lane', we've decided not to proceed with the name. This, in part, was due to some concerns raised regarding the difficulty in spelling and correctly hearing the word Kiln, particularly over the phone.

We are now proposing a new name for the laneway; 'Brickmakers Lane'. This name was suggested by the community during the public consultation process and maintains ties to the area’s brickmaking past. 'Brickmakers Lane' complies with Victoria's naming rules for places.

We’re seeking community feedback to support, object or comment on the proposed name.

Complete our feedback form by 5.00pm on Friday 16 August 2024.

All submissions will be considered before we progress the naming process and formally lodge the proposed road name with Geographic Names Victoria.
