A path connecting Mossdale Court and Birchgrove Crescent to Chippendale Court is being added to allow easier access for prams and general movement through the reserve.

Where is it?

Located between Mossdale Court/Birchgrove Crescent and Chippendale Court, Templestowe.

Mossdale Reserve is a large reserve that includes junior play equipment with slides, swing set, a drinking fountain, picnic table, bench seating and mature trees.

There is a convenience store on the corner of The Grange and Mossdale Court next to the entrance of the reserve.

Access to the reserve is from either Mossdale Court/Birchgrove Crescent or Chippendale Court.

The reserve provides an attractive green space within surrounding residential developments for informal recreational pursuits.

Why is it needed?

This upgrade is part of a scheduled 20-year cycle of renewal. The proposed design caters for changes to local demographics and the upgraded space will offer improved recreation opportunities for the local community.

When is it happening?

  • Community consultation on a draft concept design was open for feedback until Friday 10 May 2024.
  • The final playspace design can be viewed on the side panel.
  • Construction is planned to begin in February 2025. Works are planned to be completed around Easter 2025. This schedule is subject to weather and contractor availability.

How will the work affect me?

The playspace will be closed during construction. However, the rest of the reserve will remain open. We will make every effort to minimise any disruption to residents and visitors during this process.

The nearest alternative park is located 700m away at The Grange Reserve, Templestowe, VIC 3106.
