Consultation has concluded

As part of our Open Space Capital Works Program and in line with our Koonung Park Management Plan 2016, we are upgrading the playspace at Koonung Park in Bulleen.

This upgrade will include:

  • all new play equipment, including slides, swings, flying fox and rock elements
  • new picnic shelter with tables and double BBQ facilities
  • new seats and drinking fountain
  • new concrete access footpaths, linking all facilities
  • improved landscaping with rocks, logs and plants.

Works are scheduled to begin in mid-April and expected to be completed by the end of May.

Additional works proposed in the Masterplan such as walking paths linking the tennis courts, cricket nets, pavilion and car park, and converting the lower court into a multipurpose playing surface for basketball and soccer will be staged over the next few years.
