Highball Sports...Tell us what matters Manningham!
Manningham Council has developed a draft Highball Infrastructure Plan 2013 – 2023 to guide the development, maintenance and management of highball facilities in Manningham over the next ten years.
Traditional 'highball' sports includes badminton, basketball, futsal (indoor soccer) netball, table tennis and volleyball.
In Manningham highball facilities are also used for a range of community based programs, exhibitions and events. The draft Plan also considers the needs of gymnastics due to the existing purpose-built gymnastics facility within one of Manningham’s highball facilities.
The draft Plan includes recommendations on:
- seven planning principles to guide the implementation of highball infrastructure development, maintenance and management in Manningham over the next ten years;
- prioritisation of two major highball facility developments, including a new five court multi-use facility at Mullum Mullum Reserve Donvale, and an extension of the facility at Manningham DISC Donvale; and
- Council’s approach to joint use agreements, maintenance of existing facilities and private development of highball facilities.
This consultation is now closed. Thank you to all those that gave us your advice and feedback. A update on the progress of the Plan will be posted on this page when available.
