a BBQ area

public art
large open lawn areas
a playspace

When will the works happen?
Works began in December 2023 and we're on track for the park to open mid-2024.
Where is it?
The new park will be located on Hepburn Road, between Walker Street and Gifford Road in Doncaster.

The new park will be located on Hepburn Road, between Walker Street and Gifford Road in Doncaster.
Why is it needed?
The Doncaster Hill Strategy (2002, revised 2004) identified the need for a new park to buffer high-density residential zones and provide much-needed open space to residents.
The park offers recreational options, including play and relaxation, while also fostering a sense of community through new public facilities, greenery, and public art, giving these areas a vibrant urban character and a unique identity.
How will the works affect me?
Once we commence works, there may be some noise and traffic changes required to allow for construction. We’ll do our best to minimise any impacts on residents and visitors.
It’s time to give the new park on Hepburn Road an official name!
We’re proposing…Hepburn Reserve
This name is relevant, clear and consistent with the names of Manningham’s other local reserves. It aligns with our Naming of Reserves Policy, which states local reserves should be named after the longest road they adjoin. It also aligns with the Geographic Place Names Act 1998 and Official Naming Rules for Places in Victoria 2022.
Complete this survey to tell us what you think about the proposed name.
Please note:
