Consultation has concluded
Part of the Warrandyte River Reserve will become a dog-on-leash area once the Lions Park upgrade project is complete.
The dog-on-leash area will be approximately 260 metres of the Warrandyte River Reserve between 183 Yarra Street and the Kangaroo Ground-Warrandyte Road Bridge. The area affected by the change is identified in red on the map below.
This change does not impact on Stiggants Reserve or the remainder of the Warrandyte River Reserve walking trail.
Why the change? Once Lions Park is upgraded we expect an increase in walkers, families and causal users of the reserve. The changes to dog leash controls in this area are designed to keep everyone in our community safe while enjoying this space.
How will I know where different leash controls apply? Visible signage will be provided for all users of this reserve so you can clearly identify the dog-on-leash area.
