Planning Consultancy Jewell Partnership has requested an amendment to the Manningham Planning Scheme on behalf of the Donvale Christian College.

The Amendment (Amendment C103) affects the whole of the property at 161 Tindals Road, Donvale, being the site of the Donvale Christian College.

The Amendment proposes to replace the existing ‘Donvale Christian College Master Plan, September 2006’ with a revised ‘Donvale Christian College Master Plan, 2013’.

Amendment C103 is required to facilitate the development of the land generally in accordance with the revised ‘Donvale Christian College Master Plan, 2013’ which builds on the current ‘Donvale Christian College Master Plan, 2006’ by modifying the specific location of access points, traffic circulation and proposed new school buildings and building additions. The Amendment in part responds to works proposed by Council to upgrade Tindals Road adjacent to the College.

Whilst a planning permit can be issued for works generally in accordance with the existing approved Master Plan, the future development of the site proposed in the revised 2013 Master Plan is such that it could not be considered as generally in accordance with that shown in the current 2006 Master Plan. A planning scheme amendment is therefore required to replace the existing Master Plan with a revised Master Plan.

This is your opportunity to make a formal submission on Amendment C103. If the Amendment is adopted by Council and approved by the Minister, any planning permits to facilitate the development of the site will not be advertised to the community. Therefore the current amendment process is the only opportunity for residents and other interested parties to make a submission in relation to the proposed Master Plan.
