We’re developing a new Active Transport Strategy to improve walking and cycling paths/trails and infrastructure throughout Manningham.
The new strategy will focus on improving:
on-road and off-road cycling infrastructure
footpaths and walking trails
connections to key destinations, generators and public transport networks
end of trip facilities at key destinations
bicycle facilities on key routes.
The Strategy will help guide our programs, planning, infrastructure and advocacy for the next 10 years.
It will supersede previous outdated walking and cycling strategies, combining both modes of active transport in one refreshed document.
We’ve engaged an external consultant to help us develop the new strategy.
Have your say
If you love to walk, run or cycle through Manningham, please take the time to share your thoughts by completing our survey.
Your ideas will help shape the draft Active Transport Strategy.
The LGGP provides funding to projects that help prevent road trauma and facilitate adoption of the ‘Safe System’ approach to road safety: safe roads, safe vehicles, safe speeds and safe people.
This funding will be used in combination with council allocate funds to deliver a broader and carefully considered Active Transport Strategy to encourage Manningham residents to walk and cycle more frequently.
