What is Council's commitment to Community Engagement?

Our Community Engagement Framework sets out our commitment to inclusive community engagement.

As well as our Your Say Manningham consultation portal we provide a range of in person consultation opportunities for individual projects. These opportunities are generally advertised on the project pages on this site, as well as other media channels such as newspapers and social media.

In addition Council is holding a series of Listening Posts across the municipality. Dates and locations will be promoted on our corporate website.

We encourage you to share your views, provide feedback and participate in all of our community consultations.

For more information please call Manningham City Council on 9840 9444 or email communications@manningham.vic.gov.au

    • It allows for a range of different people, with different views to discuss matters that impact on their community

There are a few reasons this might have happened:

    • The email may have gone into your "spam email" or "junk" folder. Check there first
    • Your email service provider may have a very strong firewall that is blocking the activation email. This happens occasionally. Contact your service provider.
    • You may have typed your email address incorrectly - just check that this is not the case.
If you are still experiencing difficulty, email us at Manningham on ecdadmin@manningham.vic.gov.au and we will be able to take a look at this for you.

    What happens to my feedback/comments?

All comments, ideas and suggestions are collated and used by the relevant project officer to inform the development of strategies, programs and activities, or to gain an insight into community views and opinions.

Often, feedback provided online is used in conjunction with other face to face consultation activities such as workshops, meetings, open days, surveys or events.

All feedback provided during consultation will be considered, however this does not mean that every suggestion can be taken on board and adopted as proposed.

What is the difference between a formal submission form and a survey?

It is Council policy that a formal submission is required for some specific projects or decisions, or to fulfill a legislative requirement. These are usually for strategic decisions such as the Annual Budget.

A formal submission requires the contact name and address of respondents which becomes public information and is provided to Council for their consideration.

    How are forum comments moderated?

All moderation is carried out by Bang the Table in liaison with Manningham City Council. The moderators do not edit or alter any comments and will only remove comments deemed to be significantly off topic, offensive or malicious, in which case they are removed from the site immediately.
